AZ Speed is offering InGenius Marine software that allows calibration for tuning your Marine EFI engine. Everyone has the desire to change the flat spot off idle, or change the cold start enrichment and be able to instantly feel the results. InGenius Marine provides the following capabilities:

Dashboard that displays engine status, injector pulse, idle air control (IAC) and spark timing functions and any value the ECU can transmit.

Fuel Control table has tabs to click, main fuel tables from 0 -1,200 RPM, 1,200 -3,600 RPM, 3,600-6,000 RPM, and 6,000 - 9,000 RPM. Additional Main Fuel tabs control Boost Fuel, Compensation for temperature control, Intake Air temperature control, and Altitude compensation control.

Spark Control tables are adjustable in the same RPM ranges as the Main Fuel tables. Another feature is the Knock tab to enable or disable the knock sensor, and change the knock attack and decay rates to Fast, Medium, and Slow, or completely disable the knock functions.

Idle Speed Control tables are based on engine temperature, minimum throttle position and a calibration function that allows the ECU to determine when the idle spark stabilization, IAC and stall saver functions occur. Basic idle functions are set up from the camshaft profile; either stock or an AS&M camshaft can be selected.

Setup tables let you select the type of ignition system you are running. GM HEI, Coil Near Plug ignition system. Sensor selections include 1-BAR, 2-BAR manifold absolute pressure (MAP), and intake air temperature (IAT). Fuel pump prime time allows the time in seconds that the fuel pump runs when the ignition is turned on. Rev Limit is based on engine temperature and is adjustable from -40 degrees F through 284 degrees F.

Chart Function can data log any engine function controlled by the ECU, including engine speed, boost pressure, spark timing, knock and injector pulse width. You select and record the functions you want to monitor.

Active Fault Codes will indicate active or logged malfunctions, and allow the clearing of the codes. When the engine is running and you’re in the fuel or spark table a cursor will indicate on the maps the engine speed and manifold pressure. Next to the cell on the map, there are up and down arrows to click on to make adjustments. That takes the guesswork out of where the engine is running. Changes in the up or down keys have immediate adjustment to the cells that are being worked on the map table. 3D graphing can be toggled on or off to get a picture of how the table appears in a visual dimension. If you want to change your cam, cylinder heads, add a supercharger the software will enable the user to make spark and fuel adjustments. The ECU is a Marine, Electronic, Fuel, Injection version (MEFI). This is a marine and industrial hardened unit that has evolved over the past decade. Included with the software is a USB key to prevent unauthorized users from making changes or even open the software. The data link is made through a 12’ long, tough cable, and plugs into the data connector on the wiring harness and laptop computer. Marriage of the USB key and the ECU is made to prevent the software from being used on another ECU unless purchased through Arizona Speed & Marine, although the software can support multiple ECU’s providing the marriage is made between a new USB key and the new ECU. That provides security and control of your ECU calibration.
